MEMBERSHIP 2024

We continue in our commitment to make playing cricket at Winchmore Hill as affordable as possible but the Committee have decided that some small increases are necessary this year.

For the 2024 season an ‘early bird discount’ is in place for seniors if membership is paid in full prior to 17th May.

Those players who have subs outstanding from 2023 will not be allowed to play until all of their subs are paid in full.

PLAYER RECRUITMENT

We are continually on the look out for new members of any ability. We run six league sides on a Saturday, all playing in the Middlesex County Cricket League.

On Sundays we play in the Middlesex Development League (primarily for U21s) and friendly cricket is played by the Winchmore Hill Tigers and the Winchmore Hill Lions.

The First XI also competes in four very competitive Sunday Cup competitions over the course of the season. We also arrange Friendly Club XI & midweek T20 matches when we can.

Please email whcricketcomms@gmail.com if you are interested in playing for Winchmore Hill CC.

JUNIOR RECRUITMENT

The Club also runs a highly successful Juniors section which has over 250 members from the ages of 7 through to 17. For more information please click on the ‘JUNIORS’ page in the top of the banner. Any new Junior members are always welcome as are any new or qualified coaches. In the instance please contact our CDO Jim Clarke at whcccdo@outlook.com

OVERSEAS MEMBERS

We have over the years welcomed players from overseas destination such as Australia, New Zealand, West Indies, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, India and South Africa with many staying on for more than one year and some coming back for a number of seasons.

Unfortunately, due to League rules, the Club is slightly constrained as to the number of overseas players that can play in each of the top two sides and we are also unable to provide financial packages to players. Rules also dictate that no player who has been classed as “Professional” in the preceding twelve months can play in the League. We do, however, have a very structured selection policy where good performances are rewarded with regular free movement between the sides.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE WILL NOT CONSIDER ANY OVERSEAS PLAYER WITHOUT RECOMMENDATIONS FROM CURRENT CLUB MEMBERS.

WE DO NOT TAKE ON PLAYERS REPRESENTED BY AGENTS.
