Local Schools

Working with local schools

In 2015 Jim Clarke was appointed as the Cricket Development Officer of our club and he has created a large footprint for cricket within the local area. With the help of his coaching team Jim has coached...

2016 – 12 schools & 1743 children

2017 – 22 Schools & 2359 children

2018 – 30 Schools & 4359 children

2019 – 44 Schools & 9465 children

In 2020 it is hoped that, with funding, we will be able to extend the scheme not just into schools but to local community clubs as well. Creating a link between them and our club and thus further enabling us to offer cricket to all ages, gender, ethnicity and those with disabilities.

As well as directly coaching within 60-65 schools each year the club's coaching team runs a 6-week fun, friendly and all-inclusive coaching program during the school holidays.

We want to continue to create a legacy for the people of our borough and ensure that no child or adult misses out on the opportunity to play cricket within the community.

Thanks to every school for allowing is to come in and spread the word of cricket

If you child goes to a school that we do not currently go into please pass on my details to the school PE Coordinator - whcccdo@outlook.com or 07885995414 I would be delighted to meet you and build a partnership that lasts a lifetime with your school .
