Joy Carpenter

16th February 2026

August 1931 – February 2026 (aged 94)

We are saddened to share the news that Joy Carpenter passed away last weekend.

Joy leaves behind her daughter, Sue, and her grandchild, Jeremy. She was a valued Life Member of WHSC and was heavily involved with the club in her earlier years alongside her late husband, Vic Carpenter.

Joy served as Chair of the then Non-Player (Social) Section for many years and was always willing to help wherever she could. She attended as many social events as possible and was most often accompanied by her daughter, Sue.

Joy will be fondly remembered for her dedication, generosity, and long-standing contribution to the club.
